Control your life through positive change
"Research shows that there is more scientific evidence for Hypnotherapy than any other Complementary Therapy... by using hypnosis people can perform prodigious feats of will-power and self-healing.” The Health Education AuthorityHypnotherapy is an effective way of changing unwanted patterns of behaviour and thought processes. In therapy, the state of hypnosis is used to alter or amend negative perceptions in the subconscious mind which can be limiting or holding back positive progress.
It was working in the field of dentistry that I first became aware of the benefits of hypnotherapy, for both pain management and for the alleviation of fear or phobic responses. On further training my interest has continued and I now use hypnotherapy to help combat a great deal of problems.
As a client-centred therapist my belief is that by basing work on the specified needs of the individual, it enables people to make the changes they need within themselves so they can then successfully achieve all of their goals. Hypnotherapy is simply a tool that facilitates these changes. It helps people to take control of their lives and their emotions and this in turn allows the transformations required. I am a member of the National Council for Hypnotherapy, the Association for Professional Hypnosis and Psychotherapy and I am committed to continuing my professional development.
