Stress & Anxiety
Stress or anxiety can be a common complaint in today’s society and most people encounter it at some point throughout their lives. A certain amount can be dealt with naturally, as long as it stays within our ‘safe levels’. It is when stress or anxiety becomes too much for us to cope with that it can affect our quality of life. Excessive or prolonged stress can lead to illness and physical and emotional exhaustion, predisposing us to increased general anxiety or even panic attacks.

When we find ourselves under excessive pressure, whether it is from our home lives, work or how we feel in general, we tend to respond in one of three ways, anxiety, anger or depression or a combination of these three. Hypnotherapy gives us the ability to be able to cope in different situations, in a calm and effective way. You will be able to control your anxiety levels and have a calmer more confident approach to all situations. Its success can be aided when needed, by the use of self-hypnosis and/or a relaxation cd, whereby you can bring about the calm state experienced during the hypnotherapy session, whenever necessary.

Research has shown that around 12 million adults see their GP’S with mental health problems each year. Most of these suffer from anxiety and depression, much of it is stress related.
